No. We are however a Catholic School and ask all our students and families to support the Catholic ethos and values of our school.  Our students are from very diverse cultural and religious backgrounds and we respect and welcome all to our community.

 

To secure a place for your child at St Bernadette’s, early enrolment is highly recommended. Please call the school for more information, we would be happy to hear from you.

Yes, we do. Our Out of School Hours care is open from 7.30am - 8.30am and 3.00pm - 6.00pm every school day.  

St Bernadette’s School has two Reception intakes per year; at the beginning of Term 1 and at the beginning of Term 3.  Children who turn five years of age on or before 30th April will commence in Term 1 of that year and children turning five years of age on or before the 31st of October will commence at the beginning of Term 3.  Children turning five years of age after 31st of October will commence at the beginning of the following year.

We have a Starting School calculator available on our website. Simply enter your child's month and year of birth and we will calculate when they will start school.

We welcome enrolments at any time. An application for Enrolment form can be obtained from the School Office or from this website and needs to be completed and returned with your child's birth certificate. An interview will be arranged with the school Principal and a place will be offered. Once enrolment is confirmed your journey with us begins!

St Bernadette’s School follows recommendations from Catholic Education South Australia regarding class sizes.  In Reception to Year 1 the benchmark number of students is 25 and from Years 2 to 6 this number is 29.  

Each class is resourced additionally to reflect the size and needs of the class.

School fees are outlined in the Enrolment section of our site. Payment options are mentioned in our Fee Schedule.

Please be aware that there is always an option for families who have difficulties with fees to speak to the school and apply for remission or school card.

Not being able to afford school fees does not preclude you from enrolling at St Bernadette's.
